This year, G★ is scheduled to run from Thursday November 8th to Sunday November 11th at KINTEX, Korea.

 

Last year, G★ had 152 exhibiting companies from 13 countries and 160,439 visitors from 36 countries. According to the G★2006 exhibitor Survey, 91% of exhibitors responded to be satisfied with their participation in the show and 100% of exhibitors joining B2B section answered that they had a great business result during the show.

With overwhelming responses to G★2006 Biz matching service, this year, the biz matching service will be intensified through the online interactive matching system. In addition, to facilitate exhibit in the show, B2B section will be restructured for business purpose and convenience. The biz matching meeting arranged by G★ will be running in the exhibitor’s own booth(meeting room) for exhibitors’ convenience, not the meeting lounge specially arranged for the first time in the last year’s show. The Global Business Meeting, which was concurrently held with G★, will be located in the B2B section again to help attendees have more business opportunities with exhibitors. And the direct access to B2B section from B2C section can allow exhibitors and visitors to easily move between exhibit halls.

 

As the major foreign game companies such as Nintendo, Turbine and others recently launches their games to Korean game market, G★2007 is expected to have more international game companies join the show.

To promote GSTAR worldwide, GSTAR Organizing Committee has made presence at the international game shows – TGS in Taiwan, GDC in US, CEBIT in Germany and GO3 in Australia. During the shows, GSTAR had fruitful meetings with governments from European countries and major game publishers.

As the result of meetings, UKTI first confirmed a deal with GSTAR as national pavilion exhibitor. UKTI was no show at the last year but it will form UK pavilion at GSTAR 2007. GSTAR expects to have pavilions from Taiwan, India, Finland and Northern Europe and big name companies like Nintendo will sign up for exhibitors in the third quarter.

In parallel with fair promotion, GSTAR appointed KOTRA branch offices in 14 major cities incl. Sao Paulo, Brazil as its sales representatives for easier communication and better service to exhibitors and visitors in the regions.

 

G announced the slogan for this year’s show – “Exciting Games, Growing Business”. The new slogan implies the concept of exhibition which aims to create benefits for both of business to business and Business to consumer.
